Kindergarten Options

Fall 2020 Kindergarten Start-Up Overview
Posted on 08/04/2020

Dear Families of incoming Kindergarten Students: We are excited to share that we will be starting the 2020-2021 school year with two options for our kindergarten students. These options include:

  1. Onsite Learning Option: (this option available for kindergarten only) Kindergarten students will have the opportunity to attend school two days per week, two hours per session. A full break down of schedule options are outlined below.
  2. Parent Partnership Program: This model will be available to families who wish to have support and guidance for their child’s learning, but do not wish their child to attend school in person. Parents will work with a mentor teacher to have access to resources, curriculum, materials and support to guide their child’s learning. No online / computer-based learning is required for this option. Learn more about the parent partnership option at this link.

Onsite Learning Option Overview

Welcome to Kindergarten!

We are excited for our adventure together and can’t wait to meet all our new friends!  Some details you will need to know:

Kindergarten days at school will be during one of the following times:
Monday/Tuesday 9:00-11:00 a.m.

Monday/Tuesday 12:00-2:00 p.m.

Thursday/Friday  9:00-11:00 a.m.

Thursday/Friday 12:00-2:00 p.m.

The days you are home, we will be sending materials and projects for you to complete and bring back with you on your next school day.  We will provide a plastic envelope for you to transport your work back and forth from school.

Since we will be outside for school, please dress appropriately!  We will be on the playground and at the school farm/garden, so tennis shoes would work best.  Please bring an extra set of clothes in a bag labeled with your name.  We can store them here at school and access them if needed.

We will have all the supplies you need to have fun at school!  Please bring a backpack with you each time you come to school and the items below:

Snacks….. School takes a lot of energy!  Please bring your own daily snack.  We will not be eating lunch here, so a healthy snack is important.

Water…  Please bring a water bottle that is clearly labeled with your name.

Masks …. I’m sure you’ve had practice wearing your mask and we will continue to wear masks at school.  Please wear one that fits well and is comfortable!

We are so excited to be able to spend time in person with you this fall.  We know how much fun Kindergarten is and can’t wait to learn and explore with you.

We will see you next week to start our adventure!
