Salmon in the Classroom

SALMON IN THE CLASSROOM

South Whidbey Elementary School

Photos from Lori O’Brien, lobrien@sw.wednet.edu, 3rd grade teacher

Here are some photos of students releasing salmon and salmon eggs in the school aquarium. Also included are a couple of pictures of students exploring a Gray Whale skull and a student made map of the Salish Sea.

The salmon program is part of our study of the Salish Sea.  The community partners we work with through our Salish Sea studies are Orca Network, Deception Pass State Park, Port Townsend Marine Science Center and Whidbey Watershed Stewards.
